LOS ANGELES – Public voting began June 26 in 10Percent.com’s “Priape Wear Search for the Face” contest. The winner, to be chosen from among eight finalists, will receive a $1,500 cash prize and the option of signing a modeling contact with the clothing company.

Online voting will continue through Aug. 26. The winner is expected to be announced Sept. 4.

“The popularity determined from the voting process will be a key factor in Priape Wear’s decision-making process,” a 10Percent.com spokesman said.

The eight young, male finalists submitted photos along with completed questionnaires in order to be considered. Voters have access to those materials while making their decisions.

Eleven-year-old Priape Wear is a subsidiary of 35-year-old Montreal-based Priape, one of Canada’s largest retailers of gay DVDs, books, clothing, leather goods and sex toys. The label’s product line has grown from simply T-shirts to include an array of jeans, shorts, underwear, swimwear and accessories. Priape products retail in almost 300 stores worldwide.
