LOS ANGELES – Chi Chi LaRue’s, the retail boutique founded by GAYVN Hall of Fame director and gay adult industry icon Chi Chi LaRue, has been nominated for a 2009 StorErotica Award in the category Independent Store of the Year. The awards, presented annually, recognize the best of the erotic retail industry as determined by the editors of StorErotica magazine.

“I’m overjoyed at this news,” LaRue said. “In its first seven months, Chi Chi LaRue’s has received so many acclamations from the industry’s respected award shows, it must really mean that we’ve done something fabulous over there. My entire company and I are so honored and thankful that our store is so well received by the public and industry alike.”

The 3rd Annual StorErotica Awards will be presented during a gala ceremony Sept. 21 at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The awards show is part of StorErotica’s “What’s New Marketplace,” which this year has teamed with the International Lingerie Show to produce a combined event.

Chi Chi LaRue’s is owned and operated by Channel 1 Releasing, the gay adult video company co-founded by LaRue.
